Helpful Hints for AOL Users of  PBA Library Resources

Some library databases that were designed for 'standard' web browsers will work fine with the AOL software, but some are not as 'AOL-friendly.'  If you seem to be having trouble you can't attribute to another cause, you might try this:
1.  Start AOL, connect and login as usual.
2.  Minimize (don't close) the AOL program.
3.  Start up a 'standard' web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape, from the Start menu or by clicking the appropriate desktop icon.  (It will make use of your AOL connection to the internet.)
4.  Go to the PBA Library web page, and select the database from the onscreen links.
5.  Follow the same Proxy Server instructions to identify yourself as part of the PBA family.
6.  When you are finished, restore the AOL program to your screen and continue to use AOL, or logout as usual.
